Brazil's Bolsonaro in intensive care after emergency abdominal surgery

Brazil’s far-right former president Jair Bolsonaro was recovering in intensive care on Monday after he underwent a successful intestinal surgery in Brasilia on Sunday. The marathon 12-hour operation was carried out after Bolsonaro was hospitalised for “unbearable” pain linked to a 2018 stabbing attack.
