Motorists to be diverted as number of road closures in place tonight

On the M40 northbound at junction eight there will be an exit slip road and lane closure between 10.15pm today (February 11) and 6am tomorrow (February 12).

This is so that maintenance work can be carried out, according to National Highways.

Meanwhile, the M40 southbound junction 8a exit slip road will be closed between the same times, as well as the northbound junction eight Wheatley exit slip road.

The M40 southbound junction 10 exit slip road will also be closed between 9.30pm today and 6am tomorrow.

This comes as a large stretch of the A34 near Oxford will close overnight for repair works.

The carriageway from Hinksey Hill to Botley will be closed from 9pm today until 6am tomorrow.

Diversion routes will be in place.
